DOROTHY MAYS CLARK is a native of Austin, TX and gives all praise and thanks to God for His many blessings! She is very thankful for her parents, Pastor A. W. Anthony and Sis. Fannie P. Mays, for their love, support, and encouragement knowing that they are the main reasons she is who she is today.
Dorothy accepted Christ at the age of 6 years old at the True Vine Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas, where her father was the Pastor. She immediately became active in the church by singing in the Crusader Choir before eventually becoming the piano player for the young choir. She also represented her church in various Bible Activities where she either won or placed in Bible Story Telling and Bible Sword Drill activities on both the local and state level. When her father became the Pastor of Mt. Sinai in Austin, Texas, she continued her work in the church by participating in the Youth and Young Adult Choir, Junior Ushers, and Founding Member of the Nationally Known and Award Winning Drill Team.
Dorothy excitedly joined the Church Staff on June 30, 2003 as the Church Receptionist. She became a part of the publications team in 2006 under the leadership of Min. Matthew Mays as the Publications Manager. In 2008, the title of Communications Coordinator was added as she continued in her role as Receptionist. In 2010, Dorothy was given leadership over the church’s publications when Min. Mays became the Assistant to the Pastor. In 2013, she was approved to create the church’s social media platforms (including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube). And in 2018 she became the Executive Assistant to Pastor Mays. Of course, Dorothy has loved every position that she’s been in over the 20 plus years. But, she has especially enjoyed these last 6 years assisting her father and Pastor, Rev. Dr. A. W. Anthony Mays.
