I am a native of Texas, born and raised in McGregor, (McLennan county) Texas (15 miles west of Waco), a divorcee and a mother of one (1) recently deceased child.  I have one (1) sister and a deceased brother, which are both younger than I.  I accepted Christ as my personal Savior and was baptized at the age of 10.  I became a member of Mount Sinai on the first Sunday, September 1, 1996.  I am a Christian, and when I say that it doesn’t mean that I’m perfect, but it means that I strive to be more and more like Christ every day.  I have been retired for two and a half years.  Prior to my work here at the Mount, I worked as a Texas state employee for 37 years, 6 months, of which were between 3 different state agencies.  My work history would include 17 years as a legal assistant to several attorneys.  My duties would include preparing Notices of Alleged Violations against a licensee which was alleged to have violated any of the rules and regulations associated with their license.  This task would also require me to speak with the licensee and any other representative associated with the individual or their establishment.  I was required to access the violation for any monetary penalty associated with the violation and order by the attorney assigned to the case.  I was required to prepare documents and reports as requested by the Freedom of Public Information Act (Open Records). Other duties included preparing licensure histories for licensees to obtain their license in other states, attending board meetings, and issuing certifications for residential appraisers.  My Mount Sinai work/volunteer history prior to becoming the administrative aide would include but is not limited to being a teacher and writer for the curriculum of study for the teenage girls’ class in the youth department; a co-teacher of Teaching With Success, teaching and training members to become teachers in our Sunday school. Currently the secretary for the Sunday Church school.  A longtime member and co-coordinator of the women’s ministry, and now currently the coordinator for the women’s ministry.  I do believe that these experiences in my professional livelihood prepared me for the job here at the Mount.

My hobbies and interest would be that I love to read God’s word, I like to window shop, decorate, cook and bake.  My favorite pastime is to watch movies on Hallmark channel and listen to gospel music.
