This Week at The Mount Video Announcements

Hello, Mount Members and Friends! These are your announcements…

  1.  The time has changed for the Food Distribution at the Church of The Harvest Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry, located at 2701 Gattis School Road. You don’t even have to exit your vehicle, you just open your trunk and the volunteers will put your box of food in the car for you. People start lining up as early as 6:00am. Food Distribution New Time: 7:00am – 9:00am
  2. Exercise Classes will be offered each Thursday from 6- 6:50 pm and are open to all Mount members and community friends. Please join us and remember, together is better!
  3. The Senior Ministry will be “Cruising” in May of 2026 on the Carnival Breeze departing from Galveston. A bus will take us from the church to Galveston and we still have seats available. Join us. For more information, email the travel agent at shellda@shelldagoes.com.
  4. MSBC Ministry Leaders and “Part Time Papparazzi”, please help us to not be “Social Media Stalkers” by sharing your ministry event or church pictures with us! We’d love to post your pictures on our social media platforms. Please send in your pictures, with your name, caption and picture information (who is in the photo, event or gathering, location, etc.) to info@themount.net or text them to 737-341-9155.
  5. Vacation Bible School will be held June 9th through 12th from 6-8 pm. Our theme this year is “Living Christ in a wild world- They Not Like Us”. Please come expecting Class Learning, Family Game Nights and Fellowship. For more information, please contact Dr. Joshua Reese or Sis. Leslie Oduwole.
  6. Calling all seamstresses and wanna be seamstresses! We will be making t-shirt dresses for little girls in Belize. There will be 2 sewing classes in may and June. We are, also, accepting donations for t-shirts and material. Please contact Sis. Ola Jobe for more information. This is a project through the Senior Mission and the dresses will be distributed in December in Belize.
  7. Have you misplaced any item and are unsure where it may be? We invite you to stop by the Reception Desk after church or during the week to look through the Lost and Found. It’s time for our Spring Cleaning. And all unclaimed items in the Lost and Found will be donated after June 15th. Thank you for your assistance!
  8. Summer is right around the corner. And the Ignite in Christ Summer Camp will be here on campus this summer. And, yes, registration is still open! Sign up now by scanning the QR Code. If you have any further questions, please contact Sis. Kennedy Jobe or Dr. Joshua Reese.
  9. Our picnic date is quickly approaching, please join us at our next planning session on Tuesday, June 3rd as we seek to finalize our event schedule. All volunteers and committee heads are strongly urged to attend. And hoopers, get ready for this year’s 3 on 3 basketball tournament. The deadline for registration is June 6th.  Space is limited so sign up as soon as possible.  Submit your team names to Dea. Gillespie. And today is the final day to order and pay for your Picnic T Shirt.  Get yours today after service in the Foyer.
  10. Please continue to keep those donations coming for the parking lot project. We are now at 65% of our goal to begin the necessary work. Thank you so much for your donations and your commitment to our church campus.
  11. The Mount will be hosting the St. John District Association in July and we are in need of volunteers. Please scan the QR codes to sign up or see Sis. Andrea Williams to express your insterest in volunteering.
  12. If you did not receive a Mountaineer on this past Sunday, please be sure to ask for one from the GSA and they will happily give you one. Thank you for understanding! You can, also, scan the QR code posted in the foyer to receive a digital copy. Mountaineers are, also, available on our website.
  13. The picnic committee is accepting donations. If you would like to assist, the following items are needed, water, juice, sports drinks, sodas, etc.  These items may be dropped off at the church. Monday thru Friday from 8 am to 7 pm. Desserts, cakes and other baked goods can be donated through Sis. Karen Gillespie at kareng63@gmail.com) For Volunteer opportunities please contact Sis. Baked goods may be dropped off on Thursday and Friday from 9 to 7pm.  Drinks may be dropped off from M-F 9 to 7 pm. T Shirts will be available for pickup today in the foyer after Service or through the week from 9a – 4p. Picnic time is 10 – 4pm. Events begin at 10 am come out and join us for a fun filled day.
  14. The 5th Sunday Mission Emphasis Day Leadership Team are asking the members of Mt. Sinai to donate items to the Austin Diaper Bank on Sunday, June 29th. The Austin Diaper Bank provides diapers and wipes to Central Texas families who struggle to afford diapers each month for their babies/children. All women and girls of The Mount are requested to wear uninterrupted white and all men and boys to wear dark suits. Also, a $20.00 offering is requested for Foreign Mission.
