  3. P.A.T.H. Ministry which stands for “People Available To Help” is back! This confidential support group is a Christ-centered based 12-Step Process. Please join us on Thursday evenings from 6:30- 8 pm. Each meeting will include prayer, reading a recovery step and corresponding Scripture, a short teaching or testimony and group sharing and we will utilize the book, “Conquering Chemical Dependency; A Christ-Centered 12-Step Process” authored by Robert S. McGee & Dale W. McClesky. We are actively looking for individuals who have a desire to work with the P.A.T.H ministry.
  4. We know that communication is vital in the church to help foster relationships among members, to create a harmonious environment and to support our church’s theme of “Ministries for Mankind”. That’s why we invite you to be a part of this connection. Please sign up on our church’s website, text TheMountAustin or scan the QR code to become a part of our growing community of connected members!
  5. Mount Sinai family, it is time to prepare our hearts and our hands for a historic celebration! This November, we mark a monumental milestone: the 40th Pastoral Anniversary of our beloved Pastor, Rev. Dr. A. W. Anthony Mays and our Pastor’s Wife, Sis. Fannie P. Mays. As we look toward November, we want to honor their legacy with an anniversary celebration that reflects the profound impact they have had on all our lives. So, we Need Your Spirit and Service! To make this milestone truly unforgettable, we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our planning committee because there is a place for you to serve. Please visit the tables in the foyer immediately following our worship service. Let’s come together with excitement and excellence to honor the four decades and Labor of Love provided by Pastor and Sis. Mays.
  6. Please join The Women’s Ministry at our regular monthly meeting on Saturday, May 16th at 10:00 a.m., in the fellowship hall of the Family Life Center. We are looking forward to receiving valuable insights and strategies from the National Alliance on Mental Illness support staff.  All are welcome!
  7. St. John Junior Women’s Auxiliary will be hosting a Workshop on Saturday, May 23rd at 12 noon at Rehoboth Baptist Church. One of the speakers for the event will be our own, Sis. Shaila Murray. Our own member, Sis. Kennedy Jobe, is the St. John Junior Women’s Auxiliary President. All are welcome to come out as we explore the topic “Rooted & Rising: The Heart of a Leader- Transforming from the Inside Out”. We look forward to seeing you there!
  8. The Mount Sinai Junior Mission and The Texas Association of Black Personnel in Higher Education (TABPHE) are excited to invite you to participate in an upcoming college fair on Saturday, June 6th, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Mt. Sinai gym. This event is a part of TABPHE’s (TAB-FEE) Hope 4 Life initiative which focuses on engaging individuals in trusted community spaces to offer tangible pathways to a better future through education and workforce development. Additionally, the Ministry of Restoration is requesting event attendees bring children and adult books that emphasize positive themes and contain no explicit content. The collected children’s books will be utilized for a summer reading program, and books for adults will be donated to Inside Books Project, a non-profit organization that sends free reading materials to people incarcerated in Texas. Attendees who donate a book will be entered into a raffle. If you have any questions, please contact Sis. Courtney Fowler at themountjuniormission@gmail.com We hope to see you on June 6th!
