Church School classes are held in the Family
Life Center and Church Annex. There are currently
21 classes: 10 traditional and 11 non-traditional.
The traditional class literature is from the
National Baptist Convention of America, Inc.
and classes are grouped by age. The non-traditional
classes are tailored for adults 18 years old
and older. These classes are 13-week courses
and registration is required each quarter. Registration
forms can be obtained in the Church School Office
(Room 103 of the Family Life Center) or in the
classroom.

Member
Orientation – equips members,
new and old, with conversion definition, God’s
expectations of members, an introduction to
the mission, programs, and practices of Mount
Sinai.
The
Bible – (alternating between
the Old and New Testaments) provides a general
survey of the Bible and its people, places and
events.
Christian
Doctrine – provides an overview
of the doctrines Baptists believe and their
implications for everyday living.
Teaching
Us to Pray – offers instructions
on the practice and biblical understanding of
communicating with God. Offers participation
in praying with and for others according to
God’s principles.
Stewardship
– explores all aspects of Christian responsibility
(stewardship), such as, our bodies, gifts, time,
possessions, finances and giving.
Financial
Planning God’s Way – presents
biblical instruction concerning how to govern
finances from a Christian, biblical perspective.
Evangelism
– offers instruction on the “call
to service” and becoming an effective
and committed witness for God.
Becoming
A Woman God Can Use – provides
instruction to women on how to experience God’s
grace and freedom and become women of prayer
of purpose.
Marriage
Ministry – present relevant Bible-based
principles for married persons as well as those
that anticipate getting married.
Teaching
for Success – introduces methods
and strategies for teaching God’s Word
in church ministries; provides presentation
tips for public speaking and working with groups.
Life
Applications – explores the aspects
of Christians experiencing God in their day-to-day
lives, with biblical applications of Godly living
and understanding His purpose in your life.
