Have you ever craved for just a little peace in your life? To find out more about how you can have the peace promised by Jesus, in your daily life, join the 8 week Peacemaker Small Group Study every Thursday from July 27-September 21 at 7pm in the FLC. Ladies, Women’s Day 2017 is fast approaching. We are believing God for a spirit filled weekend. On Sunday September 17th at the 11 am service we are praying to experience a mighty move of God. We are inviting all women and girls of the mount who would like to participate in the planning of this wonderful occasion to meet us in the Annex on Saturday, August 5th at 11am. Our theme this year is “God’s everlasting love, that brings hope for restoration” Jer. 31:3-4. Our color this year is white for purity. Our accessory colors are the following: Red – Women on fire for the Lord/ Yellow – Women with the joy of the Lord/ Green – Women growing in the Lord/ Blue – Women going deeper in the Lord. The color you choose will express your journey with the Lord. We want to have a glorious time in the Lord, and want you to participate. So make plans to join us on Saturday, August 5th at 11 am in the Annex. Please contact Sis. Shaila Murray and/or Sis. Delores Young (Chairpersons) with any questions.
As we grow and move towards our future home, we must know our past. God has granted The Mount with His unmerited favor for 118 years. Mount Sinai has a deep history and knowing that we stand on the shoulders of giants and continue in paths laid down by others helps to inspire us all. Unfortunately, a large piece of our history was destroyed when boxes were placed under the 22nd church building and everything was destroyed by the rain and weather elements. In other cases, church documentation was often taken home and never returned to the church. History is important, and we invite you to participate in sharing and being a part of history. If you have any information , photographs or memorabilia, please fill out the card found in the brochure in the foyer and place it in the green box in the office. We will contact you at a later time. If you have any questions, please contact Sonya Patterson, Church Historian, at firstname.lastname@example.org
The Youth and Young Adult Ministry will be in revival Tuesday, August 15th thru Thursday, August 17th at 7:00 p.m. nightly. The guest preacher is Rev. Andrew W. Berry II of the Greater Barbour’s Chapel Church in Texas City, Texas. Please join us in our youth led revival. Thank you!
