These are our announcements for the Week of May 21, 2017:

The 2017 Mount Sinai Family Picnic is June 10th, and there’s no time to waste. Though you haven’t heard much from the picnic committee, you should know that we’ve been making our list and checking it twice; just to make sure that the Bar-b-que has just the right amount of spice. Our scripture reference is – Psalm 133:1 -Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! And our theme is – “It’s A Family Affair”. From 11am – 3pm we’ll gather in and around the Family Life Center for Fellowship, Fun, and some really good Food. And this is the last day to order your t-shirt so make your way to the table in the foyer after service to make sure you’re outfitted on that day. Ministry Leaders check your boxes because the request forms should be waiting for you. Volunteers are also needed for everything from servers to relief support for different activities. And if you have an ice chest help us by donating it for the day. Interested parties should email JC Crider at And we are asking each family to participate by bringing soft drinks/sodas, juice packs, or bottled water. So Saints let’s get excited, let’s start saving our calories, and let’s get ready to enjoy The Lord together because “It’s A Family Affair”!

We all remember, Family reunions, Graduations, Weddings and the like, are all very precious times to share–but not to wear!! Walk it out, STEP BY STEP with The Chosen Few Walking Fellowship no matter where you are! Colossians 2:6-7 encourages us to walk in faith! This year, beginning June 1st, we are striving for at least 3days per week of either one hour of walking, OR 7000 steps at your own pace. Track your progress for at least 3 months leading up to our Grand finale HOLISTIC HEART HEALTH Walk, Oct 7, 2017. Tracking tools will be provided by email OR paper. Sign up today with your contact email and please ask your doctor if you are healthy enough to participate! More information is available in the foyer after service. Remember, together is better!

Eating Healthy doesn’t have to leave a bad taste in your mouth! Ephesians 2:22 reminds us -together really is better! Your Mount Sinai Youth and Temple Wellness Ministries are working together for the 2017 Mount Sinai Youth Chef Cook-Off. This year we will welcome the first 20 teams to sign up. We’re looking for Youth, ages 6-11 and 12-18 years of age. This event will take place on June 24 from 9a-12p! Sis. Rosie Laster is our Lead Chef! There’s a zesty twist this year! Team up with one adult to take home the title! More information is available at the registration tables in the foyer. Remember-Together is better!

You are personally invited to join us in this year’s Vacation Bible School and Institute. Our Theme is “The Word of God” with the Theme scripture as John 1:1. The Vacation Bible School and Institute will take place June 12-15, 2017! Schedule information will be provided soon.
